Cleaning tracker Mobile Application Design
CleanMate is a mobile application designed to help households better organize, track, and share daily cleaning and home tasks in a simple and collaborative way.
Mission
CleanMate was born from a real-life problem: managing household chores often leads to mental load, imbalance, and poor communication between household members. The goal of the project was to design an intuitive, inclusive, and motivating mobile application that simplifies task management while encouraging fairness and collaboration within a household.
Major problem
Household task management tools often fail to address the emotional and organizational challenges users face daily. Existing solutions are either too complex, not adapted to shared usage, or lack clarity and motivation.
Key pain points identified:
- Poor visibility on who does what
- Unequal distribution of tasks
- Cognitive overload and lack of reminders
- Tools not designed for shared household use
- Low engagement over time
This project aimed to solve these issues by focusing on clarity, simplicity, and user motivation.
User-centered approach
The design process was driven by UX thinking:
- Identification of user needs and frustrations
- Definition of clear user flows for task creation, assignment, and completion
- Focus on reducing mental load rather than adding complexity
- Design of a friendly and non-judgmental experience
Special attention was given to accessibility, readability, and ease of use for all household members.

CleanMate delivers a clear, intuitive, and collaborative experience for managing household tasks.
